The Beginning

Before Crown & Silk Hair had a name, it had ten years of hands-on experience behind it.

I've been in the hair business for over a decade — long enough to run my fingers through more bundles, wigs, and closures than I can count, and long enough to know within seconds whether what I'm holding is the real thing or not.

Crown & Silk Hair started as a side hustle. Something I built in the in-between hours, because I already knew this industry inside and out and I saw a gap that kept showing up over and over: too many women were paying premium prices for hair that wasn't premium at all.

That's the thing about ten years in this business — you learn to see past the marketing. You learn what raw, single-donor hair actually looks and feels like versus what's been processed to fake that same softness for a few washes. I know the difference on sight. I know it by touch. And once you know that difference, you can't in good conscience sell anything less.

So when I built this brand, there was only one standard I was willing to put my name on: raw, single-donor hair — the kind that's a genuine long-term investment, not a purchase you'll be replacing in a month.

What "Single-Donor" Actually Means

• Single-donor, not blended. Every bundle comes from one donor, so the texture, density, and natural pattern stay consistent from root to tip — not a mix of five different hair types stitched together.
• Cuticle-aligned. The hair is collected and processed with the cuticle running in one direction, which is why it doesn't tangle or mat the way blended or non-aligned hair does.
